World Earth day is a global event that occurs each year in 192 countries, and it is a day of political action and civic participation, with people marching, signing petitions and cleaning their towns and roads. The theme for this year is End Plastic Pollution, which includes creating support for global effort to eliminate primarily single-use plastics, as well as global regulation for disposal of plastics.
This events supports several Sustainable Development Goals - Good Health and Well-Being (SDG 3), Clean Water and Sanitation (SDG 6), Reduced Inequalities (SDG 10), Responsible Consumption and Production (SDG 12), and Climate Action (SDG 13).
